Estimates are marked as estimates. Your floor, wiring and fish rules still need a real check.
We did not run trials for this book, and nothing in it is reported as our own test.
It is a preliminary design on paper, not engineering, electrical or veterinary advice, and it does not promise a harvest.

No. It is a sizing workbook: a preliminary design on paper, to check against your site, local rules and current prices.
No. Build 4 uses none. Builds 2 and 3 use tilapia, so ask your state fish and wildlife agency first.
Hardware, as our estimate, not a quote. They exclude fish, feed, seeds or seedlings, electricity, tools and delivery; heating counts only where the list shows it.
